I believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn to dance. No experience needed! Only the love and passion for music should be your driving force. Having no former dance training, I was introduced to dance fitness in 2008 and it changed my life forever.  I thank God, for giving me the courage to stand outside my comfort zone to learn about dance and fitness. The journey has been priceless in every way. YOU, too, can embark on a journey to live a healthy and wholesome lifestyle, full or dance, fitness and friendship. I have been teaching group fitness for about two years and I absolutely love it! I love the fun and competitive atmosphere that group fitness classes present. In my classes, I strive to push myself and others to do things that they might not have been able to achieve on their own. Health and fitness are both very important to me and I wish to instill that same importance into the lives of others. Group fitness is a fun way to work out that makes it seem like you aren't even working out at all! I love teaching and I love switching up the work out so there is always something for everyone to enjoy! I'm all about having fun while getting in a great workout!!

My love for dance started at a young age while taking ballet, jazz and tumbling. Later, I used this training to teach young children ballet and tumbling. I was introduced to Zumba about 10 years ago. After that, my dance world collided with the fitness world. I now am able to bring these two passions to others with Zumba, Zumba Gold, Piloxing Barre and Fit Barre Fitness. I look forward to continuing these fitness formats and adding more along the way.

With a background in both dance/choreography as well as fitness, Adé Afolabi has a passion for what he does. His skills, experiences, and culture bring together a mix of hip hop, reggae, Afro-Caribbean, and dancehall. Along with dancing since he was four years old, he has also studied dance, specifically in liturgical and miming. Having taught at premier fitness studios and gyms in Central Ohio and being group fitness certified, fitness is very important to him and plays a big part in both his personal and business life.

I currently am in my 22nd year of teaching middle school PE and have coached track at the middle school level for 17 years or so.  I have always loved different forms of exercise and movement, and because of my passion for working out and being active, I started to want more. I wanted to do something and be around others that got the same enjoyment from exercise/working out like I did. I finally decided to do something about it and in the fall I received my Group Exercise Instructor certification. I look forward to giving others what my trainers and fitness instructors have given me!

Growing up as an athlete meant moving was as natural as sleeping or eating. However, as I began working full-time, got married, had two beautiful kids, and took on a ton of time commitments, I noticed my energy was non-existent and the person I saw in the mirror wasn't "me".  I was sick and tired of being sick and tired.  I starting taking classes and 6 months later became a certified Piloxing instructor, followed by PiYo.  I love teaching group fitness but enjoy working one on one to really focus on form and technique.  That's when I became an AFAA Certified Personal Fitness Trainer.  I focus on training through a variety of exercises from different disciplines based on the "why" for each of my clients.  I understand first hand the difficulties of balancing career, family, personal commitments and finding time to take care of our body.  Using the "why", I create tailored programming to keep things fun and interesting while reaching individual goals.  My journey is still a work in progress and always will be, as good health is a lifestyle commitment.  I look forward to partnering with you and being a part of your best-self journey!

Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people don’t get mad easily...maybe not according to my husband, but this is not the point. Mother of three who tries to do it all so everyday I’m shufflin’. Zumba did it for me after years and years of trying to lose those last 10 pounds.

 

As a certified Zumba instructor since 2014, I feel more compelled to provide an awesome fun-filled party workout and stay true to the Zumba motto, ‘Ditch the workout, join the party.” It’s like what Louis Winthorpe III said, “Looking good, Billy Ray!” “Feeling good, Louis!” said Billy Ray Valentine.
